Let's go for a hike!

So one of the biggest reasons I moved to door County was because I fell in with our state parks here. I think, like a lot of people, I explored Peninsula State Park top to bottom before venturing up to Newport. Newport State Park is a dark sky park which means it’s a great place for stargazing. It is also quickly become my favorite park to spend beach days out with maple and quiet days of hiking it’s many trails!

I recently hiked the Lynd Point/Fern trail trail because I had heard there were a lot of snakes. Those who know me well, know that  I really like snakes! I was lucky enough to walk out onto the rocks and look into the water and almost stumble on a snake but luckily Maple chased it off into the water!

Maple also decided to drink some of the water from those rocks and had a severe stomachache after that. Luckily, Dr. Randy at Bay Side Veterinary Clinic took really good care of her and got her on antibiotics!

A big part of my store is carrying clothing that takes you from your daily life to your life outside. That is why I love United By Blue and Sherpa. They not only have great social initiatives, but United By Blue removes one pound of trash from waters for every item they sell, and Sherpa donates to a scholarship fund for children in Nepal. Both of these amazing brands do so much for your world, but they also make great quality clothing that will take you from coffee with your friends or miles of trails in your favorite state park!

I hope that you are inspired to explore the outdoors and create new adventures every day! Don't forget to check out our best hikers - We LOVE our Danners!
